FAYOSE FACES OSINBAJO !!!

Fayose to Osinbajo: I Like You Because You Are A Pastor, Don't Join the 'Liars' In Buhari's Government

Ayo Fayose, Ekiti state governor, has criticised Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo over his recent claim regarding fuel subsidy.
But speaking on Wednesday, Fayose wondered if there was any difference between the NNPC and the federal government.

On Tuesday, Osinbajo had said the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC) bears the cost of fuel subsidy and not the federal government.

His comments came after Maikanti Baru, NNPC group managing director, said the landing cost of petrol is now N171 as against the official retail price of N145.

But in a statement issued by Lere Olayinka, his spokesman, Governor Fayose asked: “What is the difference between NNPC and the federal government? Who is NNPC and who is federal government? Is NNPC now an autonomous agency of the federal government?”

He said contrary to what is being presented, the NNPC does not have the rights “to swap crude oil for subsidy” nor to spend money it generates from the sales of crude oil.

He asked: “Where is NNPC getting the money with which it is subsidising petrol with N26 per litre? Is NNPC spending money from the sales of crude oil that should be paid into the federation account to pay subsidy?

“I like the vice-president, he is a pastor and I don’t believe that he will also join others in Buhari’s government to lie to Nigerians.

“However, this one that he presented NNPC as an agency of the federal government that can allocate fund without the approval of the president is very strange to me.”

Fayose also wondered where the money “is coming from” if subsidy is being paid by the NNPC.

“Is it from sales of crude oil? Does it now mean that the NNPC is spending part of the proceeds of the sale of crude oil outside allocation to the federal government by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC)?” he asked.

“We were in Nigeria in May 2016, when the federal government announced the removal of subsidy on petrol and went on to increase the pump price of petrol to N145 per litre.

“The same APC people, who protested against removal of subsidy and increment of petrol price to N140 in 2012, defended the removal in 2016 and increment of pump price to N145.

“In 2017 budget of the federal government, provision was not made for the payment of fuel subsidy, so also that of 2018. So where is the N26 they are subsidizing one litre of petrol with coming from? Is the Buhari-led government spending fund not appropriated by the national assembly?”

Buhari Angrily Reacts To Son's Accident, Blames Security Aides

President Muhammadu Buhari was very unpleased with his security aides over his son, Yusuf's accident with a power bike. He believes it was wrong for them to allow his son out at that time of the night with a power-bike.

Yusuf was drag racing with a friend on Tuesday night around 8 pm when he crashed his power bike, sustaining head injuries and breaking a limb in the process.

According to ThisDay: "The president was at the hospital on Wednesday night. He was very devastated when he saw his son, Yusuf, in a very critical situation. He was shaking his head, while looking at his son and thereafter angrily reprimanded his security officials for allowing Yusuf to leave home at that time of the day for power-bike racing.

From the way the president spoke, it appears the security aides are in trouble. He spoke angrily. The Minister of Interior, Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd); his FCT ministry counterpart, Alhaji Mohammed Bello; and the Senate President’s wife, Mrs. Toyin Saraki; stayed throughout the night of Tuesday till Wednesday at the hospital with Hajia Aisha Buhari.

While the doctors were working to stabilise him, Dambazau kept appealing to the doctors to do everything possible to stabilise Yusuf, saying the president would find it very difficult to bear the pain if anything happens to his son."

Saraki, Others Visit Buhari’s Son In Hospital

Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday visited the injured Yusuf Buhari, son of President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Cedarrest Hospital in Abuja.

Several other top government officials including the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, have also visited the highly secured hospital to greet the boy who was involved in a bike accident on Tuesday night.

Armed security personnel were seen guiding the hospital in an attempt to keep unwanted persons away.

Yusuf sustained a head injury and had one of his limbs broken.

Surgical operation was conducted on him in after the accident.

The wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, on Wednesday returned to Abuja to attend to her injured son.

A source disclosed that she has been with the boy at the hospital since returning to Abuja.

Are the owners and management of Eko Hotel VI Lagos above the laws of Lagos State and Nigeria, that repeatedly with impunity they continue to dump waste, from human waste to metal, wood and bricks into the canal, part of which they have illegally reclaimed?
Is Gov Ambode or the Minister for Environment going to allow expatriates continue breach, in broad day light, beyond the law, common sense and decency? Could they allow this in Lebanon?
