The newly appointed members of the Dialogue Committee on Sovereign National Conference held a meeting at Edo State on Monday, in their attempt to collate contributions, opinions, and evidence of persons in the South-South Geographical Zone. The meeting was however marred by the action of one of its members, Col. Tony Nyiam, along with some PDP Sympathizers in the audience. The Chairman of the Committee, Senator Femi Okurounmu had granted the Edo Governor, Adams Oshimhole the floor to speak. No sooner had he assumed the rostrum than he was booed by Col. Nyiam, and other PDP persons later referred to as 'thugs'. This was because Governor Oshiomhole reiterated his OPPOSITION to the said Conference, saying it was a WASTE OF TIME that would not achieve any good end result for Nigeria and Nigerians. Reports later reached NAIJABLAB that Col. Tony Nyiam was prevailed upon to resign his position on the Committee by the other members, because of the embarrassment.
- Well... dat is why it is a DEMOCRACY.
- Col. Nyiam should not have shown his own Sentiments in such manner...since he is a member of the Committee.
- Even tho Oshiomhole is talking RUBBISH...only trying to stick to his Party's OPPOSITION STAND for d sake of it....just to discredit the Ruling Party.
- As a Labour/Trade Union Activist, you would expect the reverse, but when dem don start to chop FAT MONEY, dem go dey sing another song....which kain COMRADE? Comrade ko, Comradii ni. Dat na past tense. Na choppies d guy man dey now o.
