BUHARI MEETS HIS NUMBER ONE FAN !!!

Buhari Meets His Supporter who Trekked from Lagos to Abuja.

President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari finally received Suleiman Hashimu, the man who walked all the way from Lagos to Abuja to celebrate the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate’s victory in the March 28 election.

Buhari, expressed delight about the man’s feat, adding that he, like most Nigerians, heard about the trekker’s journey and the goodwill he enjoyed along the way.

The President-Elect said, “I heard so many stories that you wore out about half a dozen pair of shoes. But I also understand that there were people who were quite generous to help you to pay for more pairs of shoes. Thank you very much indeed."

Hashimu, who says he is from Buhari’s native Katsina State, said he embarked on the journey to fulfill a vow he made to God two years ago that if Buhari won the 2015 Presidential elections, he was going to journey by foot to Abuja from which ever part of Nigeria he was.
He also presented a gift to Buhari and took a series of photographs to celebrate the occasion.

While responding to questions from reporters shortly afterwards, Hashimu explained that from Lagos, he passed through Kwara and Niger States before arriving Abuja after 18 days.

He said, “I passed through Kwara State, Niger State to Abuja. I trek from 6am to 6pm. I start by six anywhere I find myself by 6pm, I pass the night there. I spent 18 days.

“I found myself in the bush once and had to trek till 9pm to a nearby village. I am based in Ibadan. I started my journey from Berger in Lagos.”

In response to critics, who doubt his claims, he said, “I made this promise between God and myself. I don’t want people to believe me. Believe me or not, that is why I did not leave any evidence on the ground.

“I made a promise between me and my God and I think right from Ilorin in Kwara State, I did not walk five kilometers alone; I always trek with people.”

  • HEHEHE...U KNO SAY I BE SMALL PIKIN...so i must believe you.
  • OK...why are you not in hospital??? YOU MEAN U ARE STILL ON YOUR FEET???

OBASANJO SPEAKS !!!

Obasanjo Speaks: Leaders are happy Buhari defeated Jonathan.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed that countries across the African continent are happy over the outcome of the presidential election in Nigeria, which saw the defeat of incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan by the APC wind of change led by General Muhammadu Buhari.

Obasanjo said his checks in a number of African countries suggested they were as happy over the result of the election as majority of Nigerians are.
He referred to Goodluck Jonathan as a moving train who was providentially stopped from collapsing Nigeria.
In his words: “I have visited six countries since the election, they are as happy about the results as we are in Nigeria. It is good not only for Nigeria, it is good for Africa and I believe it is good for the world.”

Obasanjo, who led the African Union Observation Mission to the April 2015 General Election in Sudan, spoke on Thursday at a Washington DC event.

The former president described Nigeria as a country that obsessively plays “a dangerous game of moving close to the precipice”.

He said the country came close to disintegration in the run-up to the 2015 elections but switched swiftly to the path of redemption after the polls. “I hope we will not fall over one of these days,” he said.

Describing his role in the election as that of a person standing on the track of a moving train, Obasanjo said during the countdown to the elections, he faced the option of “jumping off” the tracks or “be crushed” if the train did not providentially get “derailed and stop.”

He said he did not jump and was not crushed adding that “at every stage, there must be leaders imbued with sufficient courage and will to stand firm when you have to stand firm.”

He described the results of the elections as what Nigerians “deserve”!

FASHANU'S MARRIAGE ON THE ROCKS !!!

Fashanu & Wife Fight Dirty…. Accuses Her Of Theft, Says She Plans To Kill Him.

The marriage that took place between Soccer legend, John Fashanu and his wife, Abigail Onyekwelu, the mother of Nigeria’s former beauty queen, Adaeze Yobo in 2011 has come to an end. Though little was heard about the sudden end of the marriage, it became more opened about 14 hours ago when Mirror.co.uk published their messy divorce tale. Fashanu said it has always been trouble with Abigail and he has never seen a woman who has so much appetite for money like her. She tried to kill me with a knife, when she caught me in threesome with two women, he explained. She is also a lesbian and a thief, he said again.

Abigail however denied all of these and gave her side of the story. Fahsanu is 52, while Abigail is 48 and if I am correct, they are both grandparents, except none of Fashanu’s children  (5 of them) have no child yet.

Soccer legend John Fashanu has accused his wife of trying to kill him – after she allegedly found him bedding two women at the same time.

The retired former Wimbledon and England striker said estranged Abigail Onyekwelu went for him with a knife during a furious row at their home.

Fashanu, also a former Gladiators host, is now at the centre of a bitter divorce battle with Abigail – and insists SHE cheated on him with a woman.

She denies his claims and the astonishing battle – which includes the accusation that he bedded their maid – is to be played out in the high court in Abuja, Nigeria.

Furious Abigail, 48, said last night: “Good riddance to bad rubbish! I’ve left him and washed my hands.”

But Fashanu, 52 – dubbed Fash the Bash for his hardman reputation in Wimbledon’s famous “Crazy Gang” – hit back with an extraordinary series of allegations.

He said he had to call in police to protect him from knife-wielding Abigail and was devastated to find her in bed with another woman.

He also alleged that she stole thousands of pounds in cash from their marital home.

Speaking exclusively to the Sunday People the star – who now presents the Nigerian version of TV’s Deal or No Deal – said: “She attempted to use knives on me. It was terrifying.

“My life was at stake, there’s no two ways about that.

“Even if you did think I was sleeping with the maid, or even if you thought I was sleeping with Miss Nigeria, don’t kill me! Just leave me and go. The violence was just too much.”

6ft 2in Fashanu added: “My life was at risk and I didn’t want it to happen again. That’s why I filed for divorce.”

He denied his wife’s claim to have discovered him in bed with two other women – one of them their maid.

“I’ve been very fortunate to date some of the most beautiful women in the world,” Fash insisted. “I certainly don’t have to sleep with my cleaner!

“This is me, John Fashanu, you’re talking to. It’s absolute nonsense. If she wants to make up that story, at least let her say it’s Beyoncé or someone.

“Don’t say it’s my cleaner, that’s just b******s. It’s not true at all.

“The truth is she’s been cheating on me with a woman she calls her spiritual partner.

“I caught them in the bed many times. That was why I kicked her out of my house.”

Abigail is the mother of former beauty queen Adaeze Yobo. Fashanu met her in 2009. They married two years later but the relationship hit the skids last year.

Father-of-five Fashanu claimed police are now investigating an attack on him. He also alleged that officers are trying to retrieve missing cash from Abigail.

He said: “I’m the one who is filing for divorce. I couldn’t stand her and, to be honest, she probably couldn’t stand me. With Abigail it was just money, money, money.

“I’ve never seen a woman who has such an appetite for money. Nearly one million Nigerian naira (around £3,300) was stolen from my house in Abuja. There are police reports you can see.

“There were so many assaults, it was just getting too much. It was absolutely ridiculous. She attacked me on multiple occasions. The whole situation was far too hot for me. There are some wonderful, wonderful women. It’s just that I met the wrong one.”

NIGERIAN DRUG PUSHERS TO BE EXECUTED IN INDONESIA !!!

Here are the photos and profiles of the 4 Nigerians who are to be executed in Indonesia for drug trafficking.
Martin Anderson: 50 year old Martin Anderson (above) was arrested in Jakarta in 2003 on a charge of possessing about 1.8 ounces of heroin and was accused of being part of a local drug ring. He had traveled to Indonesia on a fake Ghanaian passport and has been incorrectly identified as Ghanaian. He was sentenced to death in 2004. According to his lawyer, Kusmanto, who like many Indonesians uses one name, Mr. Anderson was shot in the leg during his arrest — a method the Indonesian police are sometimes known to use when apprehending a suspect — and remains bothered by the wound to this day.
He has been in poor spirits since being transferred to Nusakambangan Island for execution, Mr. Kusmanto said. Mr. Anderson has filed for a judicial review of his conviction and death sentence with the Supreme Court, but his lawyer said he feared the court would not consider the appeal until after he is executed. Such appeals can take six months to be heard, Mr. Kusmanto said. “Obviously we hope it’s sooner.”

Silvester Obiekwe Nwolise, 47, Nigeria - Smuggling Heroin
Silvester Obiekwe Nwolise’s story, as his wife tells it, is similar to those of other Nigerians on Indonesia’s death row for drug trafficking. Unemployed in Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city, he was lured to Pakistan by fellow Nigerians on the promise of a job with good wages.
But once in Pakistan, instead of a job, he got an offer to swallow some capsules – filled with goat horn powder, his wife, Fatimah Farwin, says he was told – and fly to Indonesia.
“They said they didn’t want to pay tax on it,” Ms. Fatimah said. “When he arrived at the airport in Jakarta, the police saw him – I don’t know how – they caught him and X-rayed him, and they found it and it was drugs.”

Arrested in 2001, Mr. Nwolise was convicted the following year of bringing 2.6 pounds of heroin into the country, and was sentenced to death.
During his trial, according to Ms. Fatimah, Mr. Nwolise had no translator, and his Indonesian lawyer could barely communicate with him. She said that a judge, through an intermediary, offered to sentence him to prison rather than death if he paid a bribe of 200 million rupiah, worth about $22,000 at the time.
“But he was just a poor courier. He didn’t have any money,” Ms. Fatimah said.

Ms. Fatimah, who is Indonesian, met Mr. Nwolise in prison in 2007, when she was accompanying a friend who was visiting another inmate. The two married later that year; they have since had two children, now 5 and 3, but she has not brought them to see him since they were infants. She has told them that their father is working in an office in another country.

In January, the Indonesian police accused Mr. Nwolise of running a drug syndicate from prison. No charges were brought, but Ms. Fatimah, who says emphatically that her husband is innocent of the accusation, believes it resulted in his being placed in the group of inmates now facing imminent execution.

“Some woman on the outside blamed him,” Ms. Fatimah said, referring to a police informant, “but when they came to his cell, they never found anything – never, never, never. He never had a trial and next thing, they wanted to execute him.”

Jamiu Owolabi Abashin, 50, Nigeria - Smuggling Heroin
Jamiu Owolabi Abashin was living on the streets of Bangkok in 1998 when a fellow African living there took pity on him and brought him home. Shortly thereafter, according to Mr. Abashin, his new friend asked whether he wanted a quick-paying job, in which he would get $400 for bringing a package of clothing to the friend’s wife in Surabaya, Indonesia, where she sold used shirts and pants.
Mr. Abashin readily agreed, but soon wished he hadn’t: The package contained nearly 12 pounds of heroin, and he was arrested after landing at Surabaya’s airport. Mr. Abashin, who was traveling on a false Spanish passport, contended he was duped.

He was convicted in 1999 and sentenced to life in prison, which was reduced to 20 years on appeal. State prosecutors challenged the sentence reduction before the Indonesian Supreme Court, which in 2006 sentenced Mr. Abashin to death.
In a request for presidential clemency in 2008, he admitted knowingly smuggling the drugs. The request was denied in January.

The Indonesian government refers to him as Raheem Agbaje Salami, the name on the fake Spanish passport he was using when he was arrested.
Ursa Supit, an Indonesian legal activist who is advocating on Mr. Abashin’s behalf, says that because he had no money, he was assigned a state lawyer for his trial and had no legal counsel when he appealed to the Supreme Court.

Mr. Abashin, who now has a lawyer, is challenging Mr. Joko’s rejection of his clemency request.
“He has been inside now for 17 years, and he has never broken a rule inside,” Ms. Supit said. “And now they are going to execute him. He’s never had money for lawyers. It’s not fair.”

Okwudili Oyatanze, 41, Nigeria - Smuggling heroin
The YouTube clip shows what seems to be a typical Sunday religious service at a small church. A young African man, accompanied by an Asian guitarist, sings a heartfelt gospel song as the audience sings along. But the camera does not show the security guards, iron bars and barbed wire fences that would have indicated this was no ordinary place. The singer, Okwudili Oyatanze, was giving his regular performance at a penitentiary outside the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.

Known in Indonesia’s penal system as “The Death Row Gospel Singer,” Mr. Oyatanze, 41, was arrested in 2001 while trying to smuggle 5.5 pounds of heroin through Jakarta’s international airport, in his stomach, after arriving on a flight from Pakistan. He was convicted the following year and sentenced to death.

Mr. Oyatanze has made the most of his incarceration, writing more than 70 songs and recording multiple albums behind bars. He has performed with prison guards as well as fellow inmates.
In the video, shot in 2008, Mr. Oyatanze sang his song “God You Know,” which was also the name of an album he released that year.
“He has turned his life around in jail,” said the Rev. Charles Burrows, a Catholic priest from Ireland who now lives in Indonesia and is offering religious counseling to Mr. Oyatanze as he awaits his execution.

Raised in outheastern Nigeria, Mr. Oyatanze started a garment business in 1999, traveling to Indonesia to buy clothing and resell it in Nigeria. The business collapsed, and Mr. Oyatanze, heavily in debt, traveled to Pakistan to try to revive it, at the suggestion of a fellow Nigerian living there.
The plan involved swallowing capsules of heroin before boarding a flight to Jakarta. “There was a chance to earn some easy money, so he became a courier,” Mr. Burrows said.

  • ABEG DIS 1ST GEEZER NO BE NAIJA O...LOOK EEM FACE WELL WELL. (try Sudan or some other Araba country).

SOUTH AFRICANS ARE BLOODY 'LOSERS' !!!

South African govt expresses anger over Nigerian govts recall of her ambassadors.

South African government has released a statement expressing their displeasure over Nigerian government's decision to recall her envoys following Xenophobic attacks in SA. In a statement released by the South African government's Department of International Relations and Co-operations, SA government described the decision as an unfortunate and regrettable step, adding that only Nigeria has taken such a decision since the xenophobic attacks began.
According to the statement, the South African government did not blame Nigeria when 84 of her citizens died in the Synagogue  Church of All Nations building collapse some months back. (how is it the same thing?) Find the statement released after the cut...

The South African Government takes note that the outgoing Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has recalled its Acting High Commissioner to South Africa. A government resorts to such an extraordinary diplomatic step to express outrage at actions or Behavior of another government.

We are not sure which actions or behavior of the South African Government the Nigerian Government is protesting. It is only Nigeria that has taken this unfortunate and regrettable step.  If this action is based on the incidents of attacks on foreign nationals in some parts of our country, it would be curious for a sisterly country to want to exploit such a painful episode for whatever agenda.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa has just returned from Indonesia to attend the Africa-Asia Summit and the 60th Anniversary of the historic Bandung Conference.  At no stage did the Nigerian delegation present at that gathering, expressed its intention to formally raise the issue with the South African side.
South Africa remains committed to a strong bond of friendship and bilateral relations with Nigeria.  It is for this reason that when 84 of our citizens perished on Nigerian soil, we did not blame the Nigerian Government for the deaths and more than nine (9) months delay in the repatriation of the bodies of our fallen compatriots, or for the fact that when these bodies eventually returned, they were in a state that they could not be touched or viewed as required by our burial practice.
We will raise our concerns through diplomatic channels with the new administration that will assume office in Nigeria next month.

The South African Government, as well as all political parties, religious organisations, non-governmental organisations, business, sports fraternities, including artists, musicians  and ordinary people of South Africa, have been decisive and unequivocal in condemning and rejecting the attacks on foreign nationals.

Through our interventions, relative calm and order has been restored. We are encouraged by the solidarity our country continues to receive from other African countries and the international community. We shall also continue to support and not blame the Nigerian Government as it battles to deal with Boko Haram that continues to kill many innocent civilians. We hope that the more than 200 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram will someday be reunited with their families.

'LEARNED' FRIENDS ???

Lawyers Must Go For English Language Lessons- Acting Chief Judge.

Justice Ishaq Bello, acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, has advocated for continuous education for lawyers, particularly in the use of English language.

Bello stated this on Wednesday in Abuja at the launch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) stamp and affinity products.

The Acting Chief Judge said that it was becoming rather irritating for lawyers to appear before a judge and continuously mix up their tenses in trying to present their cases.

He observed that the declining standard of lawyers could be noticed in the quality of legal practice, where a lawyer stands from the bar saying “I didn’t did it” or “I saw them passes”.

He urged the leadership of the NBA to do more to further encourage the continued education of lawyers, saying the trend was becoming quite irritating.

“All lawyers must go through what is called Language Usage Course (LUC); all lawyers must be exposed to the dynamics of global evolving legal landscape,” he said.

ACCORDING TO DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE !!!

Gov Mimiko Plans To Eliminate Me, Dep. Gov. Tells Sahara Reporters.

    Deputy Governor
The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Ali Olanusi who defected to APC leaving Governor Mimiko at PDP, has accused the Governor of planning to eliminate him. Olanusi said this exclusively to Sahara Reporters.

It was also gathered that some thugs were arrested yesterday at the Government House for attacking the Dep. Governor. Police were called in and the thugs were whisked away, but were released in no time on the order of Governor Mimiko, Sahara Reporters states. Read the full report below.

Agents of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Ondo State Police Command on Wednesday arrested some thugs who recently attacked Deputy Governor Ali Olanusi in Akure, a police source told SaharaReporters.

The source disclosed that the seven thugs were arrested in a chalet inside Government House as they reportedly were planning another attack on the deputy governor, who recently broke with Governor Olusegun Mimiko and defected from the PDP to the APC.

Our source, who asked not to be named because of the "sensitivity of the case," also stated that the hoodlums had been released on the orders of Governor Mimiko, who pressured the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Isaac Eke.

“The thugs were arrested inside the government VIP chalet where they were planning to coordinate another attack on the Deputy governor,” said the police source.

He added: “A senior police officer from the SARS department led the team of the officers that effected the arrest of the thugs inside the Government House, VIP chalet. But, unfortunately, they have been released on the direct orders of the governor who  put pressure on the state Commissioner of Police to quickly release them.”

SaharaReporters exclusively obtained the names of the arrested suspects who are mostly known by their street nicknames in Akure: Dada (Alias Bullet), ‎Aperi, Dele Origbe, Asin, Akin Iroko, Opejole, Ojule.

Our source said the suspected attackers are household names in the remote area of Oke Aro in Akure.

Earlier today, a member of a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) confirmed the arrest of the thugs, telling SaharaReporters that the thugs were well known members of a PDP killer squad.

"I knew those guys very well, especially the one bearing ‘Aperi.’ They are Mimiko's boys. Those guys are on the payroll of the governor. They use exotic cars and have big houses inside the Alagbaka GRA based on the sponsorship of the governor.”

He added that the governor always used the thugs to threaten ‎his political opponents in the state. “One of those guys eliminated the son of a popular Akure union leader," the PDP factional leader revealed.

Another source in the Government House confirmed the brief detention of the suspects, but added that not all of them were caught inside the government chalet. He said two of the thugs were arrested outside the chalet.

"They were waiting for the governor, when the police van drove inside the governor's compound and immediately arrested them.” The source also confirmed that the governor intervened to have the suspects released.

Shortly after the attack on him, Deputy Governor Ali Olanusi exclusively told SaharaReporters that Governor Mimiko was planning to eliminate him.

Meanwhile the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the state police boss, Isaac Eke, of being unduly biased by releasing the hoodlums arrested yesterday for attacking the deputy governor.

RELIGIOUS 'KATAKATA' !!!

12 Nigerians & Ghanaians Thrown Into Sea By Muslim Refugees Over Religious Argument.

Muslims who were among migrants trying to get from Libya to Italy in a boat this week threw 12 fellow passengers overboard, killing them because the 12 were Christians, Italian police say. The Police disclosed 15 people have been arrested in connection of the murder.

According to reports, a group of 105 people left Libya on Tuesday in a rubber boat and sometime during the trip across the Mediterranean Sea, the alleged assailants, Muslims from the Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal, threw the 12 overboard over religious argument.

Other people on the voyage told police that they themselves were spared "because they strongly opposed the drowning attempt and formed a human chain."

The boat was later intercepted by an Italian navy vessel, which transferred the passengers to a Panamanian-flagged ship, after which the arrests were made. The 12 who died were from Nigeria and Ghana, the police said

PDP 'MAGOMAGO' IN RIVERS STATE !!!

Rivers APC Heads To Court, Says Wike Will Never Rule.

Rivers State APC chapter has said they have put everything in place and now heading to the court to challenge the Victory of PDP’s governorship candidate, Chief Nyesom Wike in the last election, who INEC declared winner. According to a statement released by the chairman of Rivers APC Chapter, Davies Ikanya, the party’s mandate was stolen by the Peoples Democratic Party, in connivance with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the police. Below is part of the statement released by the party chairman.

“This brazen electoral theft by Chief Nyesome Wike and his PDP gangsters cannot be allowed to stand.”

“These power-drunk anti-democratic elements, in their desperation for power, were not discreet in their electoral fraud that saw the allocation of a bogus over a million votes to Chief Wike.

“The documents and video tapes so far assembled will surely see many Rivers INEC and PDP chieftains being thrown into jail at the end of the day,” part of the statement read.

“We wish to appeal to our members and the entire people of Rivers State to remain calm and resolute as the party goes to the Tribunal to retrieve their stolen mandate. Our case is as clear as daylight, as even Prof. Wole Soyinka, Ambassador John Endwistle of the United States of America, the European Union Electoral Observers and other international bodies have since testified that the elections purportedly conducted in Rivers State were a sham.”

“With this development, Chief Wike will now join the league of Sir Celestine Omehia who spent only four months as Governor of Rivers State before he was sacked by the Supreme Court in 2007,”

KORO AND HIS SLIPPERS !!!

Why I usually wear Palm slippers - Sen. Obanikoro.

Minister of State II for Foreign Affairs, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has explained why he usually wears Palm-slippers following harsh criticisms he received on social media last week from people who felt he dresses 'too informal for so a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

Speaking to Breaking Times today, Senator Obanikoro explained;
“I have serious problems with my toes. I was operated on them twice but the pain still won’t go away. This has made it very difficult for me to wear proper shoes as frequently as I would love to”, he said.

SOUTH AFRICA: COUNTRY OF CRIMINALS !!!

Thieves! South Africans photographed stealing from attacked foreign stores.

It is obvious that these hungry South Africans are merely interested in looting hard working foreigners. They are so dumb, they claim that foreigners are taking their jobs. Is it not CLEAR that foreigners are providing them jobs by owning their own businesses and shops? How stupid can people be?
I have never seen myself as different from any other BLACK African brother. This is the beginning of BAD BLOOD, and they shall reap what they sow. I cant even believe they can be so hostile to their immediate neighbours like Zimbabwe and Malawi etc. As for Nigeria, I cant believe it is the same South Africa we so much fought for in the dark days of apartheid.

THEREFORE I DO NOT OWE YOU ANY APOLOGY IN SAYING THAT :

1. SOUTH AFRICA IS ONE OF THE WORLD'S WORST DESTINATIONS FOR CRIME.
2. SOUTH AFRICANS ARE KNOWN TO BE A VERY ENVIOUS BREED OF PEOPLE.
3. THEY DO NOT RANK AMONG THE MOST INTELLIGENT AFRICANS...YOU CAN TELL        BY THE POOR QUALITY OF LEADERSHIP (fluke exceptions are Mandela and Mbeki).
4. YOU GUYS ARE SO DUMB THAT IT IS NOW EASY TO IMAGINE WHY THE WHITE        MAN 'SHIT' (shaitt) ON YOUR 4UKIN HEADS.
5. I THINK THE AFRICAN UNION SHOULD PASS A RESOLUTION AND SUSPEND THESE MORONS FROM THE UNION.
