New EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu.
Mr. Ibrahim Magu was appointed acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday by President Muhammadu Buhari following the sack of Ibrahim Lamorde.
The new EFCC boss, Magu, is a top level official of the Economic and Governance Unit of the EFCC.
Mr. Magu is known as a no-nonsense investigator of the commission at its inception. He was removed along with several other key officials by Farida Waziri when she became EFCC chairman in 2008.
Buhari brought Magu back in a move seen as strategic to kick start the fight against corruption.
