Adama Barrow Sworn-In As Gambian President
With the support from ECOWAS, Mr. Adama Barrow, winner of the December 1 presidential poll in The Gambia, has been sworn in as president. He however took his oath of office at the Gambian Embassy in Dakar, Senegal.
It would be recalled that the parliament had extended the tenure of President Yahya Jammeh for another three months. The situation is looking like a political/constitutional logjam.
