Gambia's Yahya Jammeh's step down announcement on national TV.
Gambia former president Yahya Jammeh finally agreed to step down and announced it on state TV. According to him, that decision was not dictated to him by anyone.
Yahya Jammeh ended his 22 years of dictatorship saying:
I have decided today in good conscience to relinquish the mantle of leadership of this great nation.
"I thank you all...may Allah continue to bless our motherland, the #Gambia."
