Another Storey building has collapsed in the Ishaga Road, Suru-Lere area of Lagos. The National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, were at the scene to rescue victims. Two persons were reported dead. This is coming barely two weeks after a similar incident at Ebute Metta, in which up to ten people died.
- D problem is mostly due to fake and sub-standard building materials. And also people trying to cut corners....mixing too much sand and less cement. Also some dumbos will build storey building without good lintel support, and foundation. Ishaga of those days was water-logged. Dont know about now...but you cant dig ground 'shue-shue' with one level of blocks and expect to build house.
