The tenure of the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, expires on the 17th March, 2014. Incidentally the Governorship Contest will take place on 16th, November, 2013, which happens to be the birthday of the First Nigerian President, and Owelle of Onitsha, late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, who also hailed from Anambra State. Anambra has had more than its fair share of bad leadership and governance.
