RIBADU CLAIMS IBORI ATTEMPTED TO BRIBE HIM WITH $15 MILLION CASH!!!

The former EFCC Boss, Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu, gave evidence on Thursday in a London Court against the jailed former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori. He claimed that while he was EFCC Boss, Ibori and his men arranged a meeting with him at Andy Uba's house, whereby he tried to bribe him (Ribadu) with the sum of $15 million cash. The money was delivered in a BIG BLACK BAG, and could not be lifted by a single man. Ribadu said he accepted the money as EVIDENCE, but that he asked his EFCC men to immediately take the money to the Central Bank for safe custody. Ribadu was Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission from April 2003 to December 2007. Ibori was Governor of the Oil-Producing Delta State from 1999 to 2007. Ibori had attempted to bribe Ribadu in order not to be probed for the monumental theft he committed while in office. In 2012 he pleaded guilty to a 10-count charge of fraud and money-laundering before a London Court, and was jailed for 13 years. Prosecutors are presently seeking Court Order to have Ibori's assets confiscated.
