Masquerades Attack Ondo Church, Flog Pastors And Worshippers.
According to the Vanguard, a Church service was reportedly disrupted by four masquerades who flogged the pastors and the worshipers in the Epinmi Akoko area of Ondo state. According to the report, one of the masquerades, identified as Tunde Arohunmolase, was arrested while others fled after flogging the pastors and worshipers.
Speaking on the matter, a police source said that the masquerades invaded the Christ Apostolic Church while the service was going on and brought it to an abrupt end after their flogging. Two of the pastors were reportedly injured by the time the masquerades left the church and Vanguard learnt that when the masquerades arrived the church premises, they were challenged by some of the church workers whom they overpowered before going straight for their target. The matter was later reported at the police station and one of the suspects was apprehended. Police detectives are currently probing the reason for the attack of the church by the masqueraders during the service. The pastors attacked have been identified as Jacob Ogunmola and Kehinde Ilori, and the suspect, Tunde Arohunmolase is currently in Police custody.

Akpabio Rushed To Hospital After His Jeep Disobeyed Traffic and Crashed in Abuja.
Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, escaped death in Abuja on Monday morning after his car got involved in an accident along the busy Airport Road.
The accident occurred near the Bolingo Junction close to the Ship House in Abuja. A witness disclosed that Mr. Akpabio was moving in a convoy of vehicles towards the City Gate when his vehicle ran into another car.
“My wife and I were coming from the NNPC Mega Station and we stopped at the traffic light by Bolingo Hotel Junction. When the green light showed and we made to move, there was this siren-blaring Mercedes Benz jeep that came from the town and almost crashed onto my car. I don’t know how we dodged but another that was behind the jeep hit the car behind me and tumbled on its side.
“I and my wife rushed out of our vehicle and helped the driver bring out his boss. When we brought him out, we found that it was former governor Godswill Akpabio.
“At the time we brought him out, the siren was still blaring. We put him in the other vehicle and he was rushed to the National Hospital,” the eyewitness told Premium Times.
He said Mr. Akpabio was badly shaken and was in a traumatic condition when he was brought out of the crashed vehicle. He said the former governor was apparently rushing out of the city when his convoy beat the traffic and crashed.

FAYOSE TO BUHARI !!!
BUHARI IS PRESIDENT FOR THE NORTH !!!
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said President Mohammadu
Buhari was operating as a president of the Northern Nigeria only,
describing steps taken by the president since May 29, 2015 as tainted
in ethnic and tribal colouration, which is inimical to the unity of
Nigeria.
The governor, who descried what he called President Buhari’s
“Nothernisation of Nigeria,” said “appointments made by the President
so far negate the principle of federal character and it appears the
unity in diversity of Nigeria is being taken for granted by the
President.”
According to a statement issued on Monday, by his Special Assistant on
Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose
said it was wrong for President Buhari to have made 31 major
appointments and only seven will come from the South while 24 were
from the North.
He asked; “Under Buhari, are people from Southern Nigeria only meant
to be hounded and harassed by anti-corruption agencies and the
Department of State Security (DSS) while those from the North are
meant to enjoy federal government juicy appointments?”
The governor said, “apart from the lopsided appointments being made by the
President, I am worried that construction of Lagos-Ibadan expressway
has been slowed down while work has stopped on Lokoja-Abuja roads,
which are the major roads linking the Southern part of Nigeria with
the North.
“Also, we have been told by the Federal Government that the Second
Niger Bridge project has been suspended and one is now beginning to
remember how Buhari cancelled the Lagos Metroline Project in 1985 at a
loss of over $78 million (then) to the Lagos tax payers.”
Governor Fayose, who maintained that Nigeria can only move forward if
there was equity and fairness, said those who made the country’s
constitution and enshrined the principle of Federal Character were
mindful of the ethnic diversity of the country, adding that President
Buhari’s running Nigeria as if he was a Northern Nigeria’s President
was not in the interest of the country.
“They said the President made the appointments on merit and I wish to
ask whether there are no competent people in the All Progressives
Congress (APC) in the Southern part of Nigeria, especially South-East
where no one has been appointed.
“Are they saying Igbo leader like Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, who graduated
with a first class honours degree in Chemical Engineering at the
University of Lagos, is not competent to be appointed as Secretary to
the Government of the Federation (SGF)?
“To my mind, these lopsided appointments skewed in favour of the North
is a reminder of President Buhari’s tenure as Military Head of State
and I hope the President is not seeing Nigeria of today as that of
1984 because doing so will mean that he has turned himself to a
northern president, thereby justifying his notion that those who gave
him 97 percent votes must get more benefits than those who gave him
five percent votes.”
HEAR YOUR NEW SGF !!!
We were not appointed because of our tribe/Faith - New SGF says.
Newly appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, Babachir Lawal, says contrary to speculations, his appointment alongside 5 other appointees by President Buhari last week, was not based on tribal affiliations or religious belief.
“We did not have to pass examination to get appointed into these positions. It was not because of our tribes, or our faiths, or our political groups that we were considered worthy for these positions. If it is such, I am sure none of us would have been considered worthy of these appointments. We appreciate the president and we appreciate God that he has blessed us with these privileged appointments” he told reporters after his swearing in this morning.

MANDELA'S GRANDSON: SHAME ABOUT THE RAPE CHARGES !!!
The chilling details of how Mbuso Mandela allegedly raped teen girl.
These are blow by blow details of how Nelson Mandela's grandson, Mbuso Mandela, allegedly raped a 15year old girl as contained in a police statement signed by Lieutenant Dithoso Mmako of Hillbrow police's investigating unit.
"The victim, a minor female, was in the company of two friends, also minors, at Mamas Restaurant in Greenside,Johannesburg, where. they attended an arranged event," the statement reads. One of whom introduced himself to the victim as 'Mbuso Mandela'. After a conversation of about five minutes, the three males asked the three females to go with them to another place, but they declined.
As the males persisted to convince the girls to go with them, the victim called the host, who came and told the males that the three girls will not go with them. After the girls moved inside the premises, the boys later joined them at their table. During a conversation, the accused exchanged cellphone numbers with the victim. The victim and the accused were passing through a dark passage when the accused grabbed the victim and pulled her toward him, telling her to kiss him. But as the victim refused, the accused pushed her against the wall, forcefully kissing her neck and his hand into her pants. The accused allegedly turned the victim around, making her face the wall while he also pulled her pants down. The accused then allegedly tried to penetrate the victim's vagina from behind, while pressing her against the wall, but found it difficult. By then, the victim alleged she was screaming. The accused then allegedly pulled the victim further behind the wall, where he threw her down and got on top of her, where he penetrated her vagina with his penis and had sexual intercourse with her without her consent."The girls were picked by the victim's mother who dropped them off at her father's house. According to the police, it was there that she told her two friends of what happened back at the restaurant.Source: Sunday World ZA.

BOKO-NONSENSE RAG-TAGS ATTEMPT TO ENTER LAGOS !!!
Boko Haram Members Trying To Force Their Way Into Lagos- DSS.
Nigeria’s Islamic extremist rebels Boko Haram are trying to extend their violent campaign across the country including Lagos, the country largest city, an intelligence official said Sunday.
There has been a sudden influx of Boko Haram agents into Lagos and other parts of Nigeria outside the militants’ main area in northeastern Nigeria, said Tony Opuiyo, spokesman of the Department of State Services. He said Boko Haram is trying to extend their reach after being pushed out of the urban centers of northeastern Nigeria in recent months.
Security agencies had arrested 14 Boko Haram suspects in Lagos, the capital Abuja and other parts of the country outside the northeast in the past two months, said Opuiyo. Those arrested include cell leaders, some of whom admitted to involvement in recent suicide attacks, he said.
You can also read the full SSS statement below:
In line with the Department of State Services’, DSS, re-strategised Counter Terrorism measures to combat the menace of the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria, the Service has continued to make significant breakthroughs in this direction. This followed the rounding up of notable commanders and frontline members of the notorious group from different parts of the country. It should be noted that the group’s new pattern of movement and spread is necessitated by the pressure being put on them in their core areas of strength in the North East.
2. Consequently, a number of them have been arrested in Lagos, Kano, Plateau, Enugu and Gombe States between July 8 and August 25, 2015. Of particular note was the arrest on July 8, 2015 in Gombe State of those responsible for the coordination and execution of the suicide attacks in Potiskum, Kano, Zaria and Jos. They are:
Usman SHUAIBU (a. k. a. Money):
3. SHUAIBU revealed that he coordinated the attacks under reference with the sum of N500,000 which was provided by his Amir, one Isa ALI. He claimed that the said Isa ALI has links to the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar SHEKAU, from where he collects monies to fund operations undertaken by their Markaz. Also, he revealed that he has participated in several Boko Haram attacks, including the attacks at Gwoza Divisional Police Station in 2014.
4. SHUAIBU admitted being the leader of the team of nine (9) sect members that was dispatched from Sambisa Forest to carry out the attacks. He disclosed that four out of the nine of them were used as suicide bombers in executing all the (suicide) attacks.
Ahmed MOHAMMED (aka ABUBAKAR):
5. Suspect, an IED expert, confessed to the preparation of the IEDs used for the mentioned attacks. He also averred that he was the one who strapped the suicide bombers, notably SULE and his wives, with IED vests, which they used in the attacks in Jos.
Adamu ABDULLAHI (aka Babpa)
6. Suspect confessed that Usman SHUAIBU motivated him to work closely with Ahmed MOHAMMED (aka ABUBAKAR) in the preparation of the IEDs used in the attacks under reference.
Ibrahim ISA
7. Suspect confessed that he was the one who carried out reconnaissance on the targets in Jos ahead of the attacks.
Muttaqa YUSUF (aka Mohammed SANI/Mudtaka):
8. Suspect disclosed that one ALIYU, believed to be Aliyu GOMBE, in Sambisa forest, was the one that ordered the serial attacks which the syndicate carried out. He further confessed that he assisted Usman SHUAIBU in planning and executing the said attacks.
9. Other arrests include:
i. Bakura MODU:- He was arrested on July 20, 2015, at Kara, Isheri Berger, Ikeja LGA, Lagos State;
ii. Mustapha Alli JAMNERI:- He was arrested on July 24, 2015, at Gowon Estate, Egbeda, Alimosho LGA, Lagos State;
iii. Abuyi SHERRIFF:- suspect was arrested on August 7, 2015, at Ebute-Metta, Lagos Mainland LGA, Lagos State;
iv. Babagana ALI and Babagana KOLOYE:- were arrested same day (August 7, 2015), at Eric Moore, Bode Thomas Street, Surulere LGA, Lagos State;
v. Abba Modu SAGMA: He was arrested on August 9, 2015, at Ijora Badiya, Apapa LGA, Lagos State;
vi. Grema ABUBAKAR and Tijani BAGUDU: were arrested on August 10, 2015, at Amukoko, Ijora Badiya, Apapa LGA, Lagos State;
vii. Baba Alhaji and Abass IBRAHIM:- were arrested earlier on the same day (August 10, 2015), at Alaba International Market, Alaba, Ojo LGA, Lagos State;
viii. IBRAHIM AUDU: Suspect was arrested on August 192015, at New Artisan Market, Enugu, Enugu State;
ix. Ibrahim HARUNA: The 30-year old suspect from Kanawa village, Sumaila LGA, Kano State was arrested on August 21, 2015, at Kwomi village, Kwami Local Government Area, Gombe State;
x. Mal Ali MOHAMMODU: The 33-year-old suspect was arrested on August 22, 2015, at Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Fagga LGA in Kano State;
xi. Adam Wakil Abdul JILBE: was arrested on August 23, 2015, at Obanikoro Area, Mushin LGA, Lagos State; and
xii. Mohammed USMAN: was arrested on August 25, 2015, at Atuashe Estate, Gbagada, Kosofe LGA, Lagos State.
10. Nigerians and indeed the general public have to note that the arrest of Usman SHUAIBU aka Money and the core members of his cell, stemmed the spate of bombings by the extremist sect. It would be recalled that MONEY and his group were arrested on their way to Bauchi State where they had planned to execute another heart-rending bomb attack and this was frustrated by the arrest.
Furthermore, the sudden influx of Boko Haram members into Lagos State points to the determination of the sect to extend its nefarious terrorist activities to the State and in fact, other parts of the country.
The arrest of these confessed terrorist elements has however helped in no small measure to avert devastating attacks in the area. However, the Service is making efforts to conclude its investigations and commence prosecution of the suspects.
11. Drawing from the above, the DSS reiterates its avowed determination to work with other stakeholders in the fight against terror and other forms of criminality in our country. Citizens and residents are therefore called upon to rise to the occasion by volunteering useful information to the Service and relevant security agencies.

JONATHAN'S 'GUY-MEN' WARN BUHARI !!!
Jonathan’s Ministers Send Warning Letter To Buhari.
Some ministers who served under Goodluck Jonathan have warned President Muhammadu Buhari to give the former president his “due respect” henceforth.
The former ministers said they had observed that the Buhari administration and members of the APC had been condemning, ridiculing and undermining the efforts of the Jonathan administration.
Jonathan’s ministers said both the President and his party had also been rubbishing the integrity of some of the individuals who worked with Jonathan in his administration.
A former Minister of National Planning, Dr. Abubakar Suleiman, said this on Sunday in a statement on behalf of other ministers who served under Jonathan.
Suleiman said the efforts of the Buhari government had been to portray all members of the Jonathan administration “as corrupt and irresponsible, in an orchestrated and vicious trial by the media,” which he said had created “a lynch mentality that discredits our honest contributions to the growth and development of our beloved nation.”
He said while he and his colleagues believed that each administration had the right to chart its own path, the alleged vilification of the Jonathan administration was ill-intentioned.
But the Presidency, while reacting to the Jonathan’s minsters’ statement, on Sunday said Buhari’s war against corruption was not negotiable.
“President Buhari will not be deterred or blackmailed into retreat and surrender.”

100 DAYS OF BUHARISM !!!
What President Buhari Has Done So Far Within 100 Days.
UNDERSTANDING BUHARI IN 100 DAYS
The enormously popular talk show, Berekete on Wazobia FM radio, Abuja station, told the incredible, yet true story of the hardworking and respected school teacher somewhere in Plateau state who hanged himself.
He hadn't been paid salary for seven straight months. He came home to find that no one had eaten and two of the kids had prescriptions for which there was no money. He sneaked out without talking to anyone.
After a long while, news came home that he had strangely been caught with a stolen goat...
On his day in court, the teacher confessed to the offense. The reason he stole, he told the local judge, was that he hadn't been paid for 7 months and when he got home to see what he saw, he just couldn't stand it.
The judge allowed him to go home on bail on self-recognition given, as he said, the good impression the entire village had of the otherwise respected teacher.
All were shocked to find his body dangling from tree the morning after. He couldn't live with the shame.
In the recommendations and notes the Ahmed Joda transition committee presented to him as President -EIect, Muhammadu Buhari was informed that a section of the Fedaral government as well as 27 states hadn't paid salaries, in some case for up to a year.
The Joda committee advised that this was a national emergency and should be treated as such.
It is on account of this that one of theactivities- please note the choice of this word:activities, not achievements- of President Muahammadu Buhari in these past three months is the settlement of unpaid salaries. This is going on right now.
Like the proverbial blinking of the eye, Saturday September 5th will mark the 100th day of the Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC government which took office on May 29th after the new party became the first in opposition to unseat an incumbent government in an election adjudged by everyone as free and fair.
There are many out there who say that the performance of a president and his government in terms success or failure cannot be judged in 100 days and I agree with them.
But history will be written anyway. In the coming week or two, a rash of commentaries and analyses to commemorate the event will be made.
I myself don't deny that 100 days is long enough to know and understand the man who is the head of a government.
Buhari arrived power with strong support from young men and women and this country's poor. The new government was not favored at election by the monied power-brokers although that did not stop the President from taking measures such as improving security that are good for business and investment.
This government is business-friendly but not one that is for crony capitalism.
The new government inherited enormous problems created by the tainted PDP administration, largely caused by the lack of governance, corruption and lawlessness. This was mostly evident in the last two years of the Jonathan Goodluck administration. As the President continues to point out,the drift is most evident in the oil sector.
I believe that there is enough on the ground in those 100 days to understand President Buhari, his government and what it stands for.
I will cite a few of these.
Before I do that, I will make a little confession.
In the course of electioneering, the presidential campaign had so many centers of public communication which, for whatever reason were on the loose.
There is a certain document tagged "One Hundred Things Buhari Will Do in 100 Days" and the other, "My Covenant With Nigerians." Both pamphlets bore the authorized party logo but as the Director of Media and Communications in that campaign, I did not fund or authorize any of those. I can equally bet my last Kobo that Candidate Buhari did not see or authorize those publications.
As a consequence of these publications, expectations have been raised unreasonably, that as President, Muhammadu Buhari will wave his hand and all the problems that the country faces- insecurity, corruption, unemployment, poor infrastructure would go away.
But that notwithstanding, President Buhari has given the job his best shot and the whole country is saying that we never had it so good. He has re-instituted the values of hard work and administrative efficiency. The President says times without number that this country needs to fix governance and that he won't tolerate laziness.
Some of the other activities I wish to enumerate also include the fact of his taking relations with the country's immediate neighbors to new heights. By their open admissions, this country's neighbors did not have someone they could talk to on the deteriorating security situation in the Lake Chad Basin area in Aso Rock.
Buhari embarked on his foreign policy on Day Four of his administration.
When he met Barack Obama, the U.S president told the Nigerian leader that he was getting it right and that it is only when Nigeria gets it right that Africa will get it right.
The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon who came calling this week said that our president is "courageous, focused and firm."
Relations with the "G 7" group of industrialized countries have since been "reset" and the dividends of this have begun to flow inwards.
In the area of economic management, Nigerians are already seeing things happen that they thought were not possible in so short a time.
He didn't put a Kobo to finance the power sector. Yet, reading his body language alone and knowing that there are things you cannot do and get away with under Buhari, electricity supply all over the countries has risen to unprecedented heights.
Actually, some cities are on the verge of calling 24-hour, round the clock power supply. The country generates more power than can internally be taken by the deplorable distribution system we have on the ground, which points to the next challenge that the country faces.
Framework for the management of the country's finances has been put in place. The wobbly Naira is being stabilized and inflation is headed towards a single digit.President Buhari is keeping a close eye on the government treasury.
Agriculture is getting its own shot in the arm.
Rice importation has been curtailed and seven governors whose states are priming a massive local production of the commodity have had a strategy meeting with the President on the next steps that are coming. Americans say their intervention in our agriculture will come next year.
Boko Haram, which had more or less been allowed to fester for about five years is about being ended but what is even more interesting is that intelligence coming from the fired-up armed forces who now work in synergy with each other is raising hope that the Chibok girls may, repeat may be found in good numbers in a geographic location of interest somewhere in the North-East.
President Buhari is being praised at home and abroad for his ongoing fight against corruption. He said from the beginning that his government will not tolerate this vice.
Borrowing the words of India Narendra Modi's, he said himself that "I won't steal and I'll not allow others to do it." President Buhari has walked his talk since he come to office.
Himself and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have not only given up half of their salary, they have cut a good number of funding lines to their official homes and offices.
President Buhari also takes the environment seriously. He blames the lack of security in the Lake Chad region on the recession, almost drying up of the lake. He has undertaken to clean up the Ogoniland.
In this country, appointments and removal from office are done usually in accordance with a spoils system.
A new government sacks officials on the basis only that it did not appoint them, by the predecessor-administration.
President Buhari has shown that his government is different. He wants to look at each case on its own merit and it is clear by now that he is not ready to surrender the country to burnt out politicians. Technocrats will have a big place in his administration.
He has appointed no ministers yet, but the government is running smoothly.
In this period of three months, government certainly deserves a pat on the back for improved power, reform in the energy sector, foreign relations fight against corruption and insurgency and the fact of Nigerians being at peace, not only among themselves but with their neighbors and the rest of the world.
In think in summary, I would like to end this piece by saying that President Muhammadu Buhari will turn out to be a leader in the tradition of Lee Kuan-Yu and India's current reform-minded Prime Minister Modi with strong and clear emphasis on detail and execution. He may however differ with them by not micro-managing things.

THE LOOTING OF NIGERIA BY 'POLITICAL BANDITS' !!!
America Has Released The Names of Big Thieves to Buhari.
Facts have emerged that President Muhammadu Buhari has in fact, been handed shocking documents relating to monumental stealing of ministers and others.
It was learnt that the intervention of some individuals, including some African leaders, tended to suggest to Buhari that he needed to give his predecessor soft landing; and indeed, the President had agreed but on the condition that the aides and ministers who looted the treasury must return the funds.
It was with a view to avoiding what a very credible source described as a public embarrassment for the former leader, that Jonathan visited Buhari earlier in the month to beg for his understanding.
“The President advised Jonathan to prevail on his aides and ministers to return all the money they looted to enable him have access to funds with which to restructure and develop Nigeria for the good of everybody. But President Buhari became angry when Jonathan’s men became adamant."
“Most of Jonathan’s men would have been arrested by now, but the President was being mindful of the nation’s democracy and, therefore, decided to pursue the matter in a civil manner. In fact, it was for this reason that the National Economic Council, NEC, decided to set up a special committee to ascertain the areas concerned and deal with it,” a presidency source told Vanguard.
It was due to the documents exposing stealing that Buhari recently urge lawyers not to cover corrupt men.
