BRITISH GOVERNMENT TO PROSCRIBE BOKO HARAM.

Britain is to invoke its 2000 Terrorism Act to ban Boko Haram, and arrest all persons known to associate with it. It will also apply the law to the UK-based Extremist Group, Minbar Ansar Deen, otherwise known as Answar al Sharia. In the bid to tackle international terrorism it will now be a criminal offence to associate with, or be a member of the above terrorist groups. Boko Haram has killed 3,600 people in Northern Nigeria, in its 4-year insurgency. Al Qaeda, and the Somalian Shebab insurgents are also proscribed under British Law.
