Money Looted Under Jonathan Can Service 3 Annual Budgets – EFCC Reveals.
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has revealed that the funds looted from Nigeria in the last five years is enough to fund three years Nigerian budget.
He stated this during an informal meeting with Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka in Ikeja, Lagos State.
Earlier at the meeting, Prof Soyinka exchanged banters with the no-nonsense EFCC chairman, at one point he even wished him “good luck, but not that [Jonathan] one.”

Magu used the occasion of the meeting to discuss his plans for a renewed clampdown on corrupt officials in Nigeria. He was accompanied by some of his aides.
Prof Soyinka expressed his unfettered support to Magu, urging him to do all the right things necessary to put an end to the the culture of impunity and corruption that has taken over the country.
Soyinka also made reference to ex-Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is currently in the UK waiting for her corruption trial to commence. He said EFCC must double their efforts.
The new EFCC chairman assured that looters will start feel the heat in the next few weeks.
