Stop Carrying Handbags, Umbrellas For VIPs, PSC Warns Police Officers.
Chief Mike Okiro the Chairman of the Police Service Commission had probably been on twitter lately and saw how Nigerians lashed out at police officers doing domestic duties, especially the last one who carried a hand bag for madam. Hian!
So yesterday at a press conference in Abuja, Chief Okiro warned Police officers on escort duties with Very Important Persons to desist from carrying hand bags and engaging in other domestic duties for VIPs they are attached to calling it an insult to the Police uniform and the Nigeria Police Force as a whole.
Okiro also said the commission would henceforth arrest police operatives on illegal escort duty, adding that its workers would soon be deployed in airports and on the highways to apprehend errant policemen.
