NAIJABLAB received this letter from a reader:
Dear Governor Ambode,
'THIS IS THE STORY OF THE CONSTANT 'BULL-SH*T' (SORRY FOR THE LANGUAGE, BUT WE ARE SICK AND TIRED) LAGOSIANS RESIDING ALONG THE LEKKI-EPE EXPRESSWAY GET AND ENDURE EVERY MORNING AND EVENING, EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE YEAR, IN LAGOS, BETWEEN LEKKI AND AJAH.
- Imagine the economic loss to Nigeria in terms of loss of valuable work hours !!!
- Imagine the effects it has on health....the stress level, the anger, the depreciation of life expectations etc !!!
- Imagine how much money the residents spend on fixing the poor cars that have to endure this avoidable bull sh*t !!!
- Imagine the security risk they are exposed to, especially when they end up on that hell road often as late as 11pm at night, even after closing work at 4pm....on a journey that should ordinarily take not more than 30 minutes.
THERE ARE EIGHT (8) EVIL ROUNDABOUTS BETWEEN LEKKI (PHASE 1) AND AJAH, AND COMMON SENSE TELLS US THAT THE PROBLEMS OF ENDLESS TRAFFIC ON THAT AXIS IS DUE TO THE ENORMOUS SIZES OF THOSE MONSTROSITIES CALLED ROUNDABOUTS.
GOVERNOR AMBODE....PLEASE LIVE UP TO THE HIGH RATINGS LAGOSIANS HAVE GIVEN YOU BY IMMEDIATELY ORDERING THE REMOVAL OR REDUCTION OF THESE EVIL ROUNABOUTS THAT YOUR 'SHORT-SIGHTED' PREDECESSORS HAVE PUT IN PLACE.
LAGOSIANS DESERVE A BETTER STANDARD OF LIVING, EXPECTATION, AND LIFE EXPECTANCY.
THANK YOU SIR'
Architect Yomi Adebajo.
(Concerned Lagosian)
