AMOSUN VERSUS DANIEL!!!

Ibikunle Amosun
The Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, has alleged that the former governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, is not a native of the state.
He also vowed to expose how he and others allegedly assisted Daniel to claim to be an indigene of Sagamu, when the former governor wanted to contest the number one seat in the state in 2003.
Amosun, who was visibly angry, alleged that Daniel is an Isoko man contrary to the claim that he is an indigene of Ogun State, adding that his predecessor allegedly mortgaged the state farm settlement at Odeda under the guise of concession.
The governor, was reacting to allegations by Daniel, at Odeda, penultimate week, that Amosun sold off all the farmlands in the area to neighbouring states. Speaking at the Labour Party summit in Odeda, Daniel had alleged that his administration established 13 farm settlements, but “today, we are sorry that this present government has started selling our farmlands to other neighbouring states.”
Reacting to the accusation yesterday, Amosun described Daniel as a prodigal son, who sold off the patrimony of the state under fake concessional agreements.
He particularly mentioned Apoje farm settlement, which Amosun alleged, was sold to a prince and former commissioner in Lagos State at a ridiculous price.
However, in a swift reaction to Amosun’s claims, Daniel, speaking through his Media officer, Ayo Giwa said: “The people of Ogun State are saying it loud and clear that they are tired of this government of deceit and lies. He should tell us why Shell, British Gas and the Dangote group left Ogun  State as posers raised by his predecessor, which he has yet to react to.”
Giwa described the allegation that Daniel is not from Sagamu, as an insult on the entire good people of the historical town of Sagamu as well as a taboo and effrontery on the traditional institutions in the land, especially the thrones of the Akarigbo of Remoland as well as the Ewusi of Makun in Remo Kingdom.
