The 419 Kingpin, Fred Ajudua, has today been remanded in Kirikiri Prison for fraud charges brought against him by former Chief of Army Staff, General Ishaya Bamaiyi. Justice Ipaye of the Lagos High Court ordered his remand following a fresh 13-count charge brought against him by the EFCC. He was said to have defrauded Bamaiyi of $8.395 million (N1.3 billion). His accomplices, Alumile Adedeji (aka. Ade Bendel), and one Princess Hamabon William are said to be on the run. General Bamaiyi was said to have been extorted by the bunch while he (Bamaiyi) was serving a jail term at Kirikiri Prison, whereby they lied to him that the money was serving as Legal Fees charged by Afe Babalola (SAN) to facilitate Bamaiyi's release from prison (obviously not true). The 419ers were also said to have lied to Bamaiyi that $1m out of the money was earmarked to treat the father of Justice Olubunmi Oyewole's father (the judge that was presiding over the case), who was alleged to be hospitalized at St. Nicholas Hospital at the time!!! Money was collected on installment basis. Case has been adjourned to 20th February, 2014.

- AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, GENERAL BAMAIYI TOO SHOULD BE SENT TO PRISON.
