A seemingly drunk Police Corporal, attached to the FESTAC Police Station, knocked down this woman and her baby while alighting from a bus on Oshodi-Apapa Road. The policeman was defiantly driving against the traffic flow on a one-way lane, in the busy hours of the day. The woman and baby were rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where she received treatment for brain injury, pelvic fracture, and facial injuries. Her baby suffered enormous facial injury, and a broken jaw. The woman's husband is said to be unemployed, as she has been the only bread-winner for years now. Worse still, when her relations visited the FESTAC Police Station to report the case to the DPO, Mr Ibrahim Zango, he was said to be less than cordial, as he was 'in a hurry to drop off a girl-friend at the Airport'!!!
- Nawa for Naija...JUNGLE JUSTICE...Dis is so sad. Where is Human Rights in awa country? If those expected to protect us continue to ravage and abuse us, wettin come remain?

- We have to also learn to respect human life. In civilized country dis policemen will face disciplinary panel. Even sef ee no go happen sef in d 1st place, bcos no one is above the law. Even if Ambulance Driver kill person for Europe, the driver will FACE THE MUSIC...period. Human life is 'sacrosanct'. Not to talk of yeye policeman driving against traffic...drunk for dat matter.

I tell am say i no get money take settle am (no shi shi)...he come say oya make i giv am d beer wey dey my car. Dat is how DOWN police is in Nigeria. And their yeye former IG Hafiz Ringim (big belle mallam) dey London dey enjoy d billions wey he steal from dem. He dey even dey beg oyinbo for Asylum sef. Dat is how HOPELESS we are.
