A war veteran, Brigadier General Godwin Alabi-Isama, recently alleged in his War Memoir that General Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria, was a 'Blundering General' during the Nigerian Civil War. He claims that Obasanjo ran away from the enemy, and was shot on the bottom, in addition to losing thousands of men in one hour of battle.
