At least ten foodstuff sellers from the Bodija and Otita Merin Markets in Ibadan have been killed by gun men suspected to be Boko Haram, while attempting to purchase their wares from Mugunu area of Borno State. They were mostly Beans Sellers. This comes after about four of them were earlier killed in a similar incident on 5 May, 2013.
The said markets are under lock and key, mourning their lost members.
