The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, has confirmed that there has been 13 known cases of cholera in Lagos, out of which 3 have died. The worse affected areas are Ajeromi, Suru-Lere, Shodi, Apapa, and Lagos Island. He attributes it to contaminated wells, local foods, and non-washing of hands.
