The Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has reiterated the fact that he owes nobody, not even the International Community, any apologies over the recent hanging of four armed robbers in Edo State. He says the law is the law, and that the United Nations, and European Union should be mindful that Nigeria is a Sovereign Nation that must uphold its own Constitution, and not the laws or resolutions of international communities that run contrary to the values of the people. He further claims that it amounts to an 'abuse' of his own Nigerian values for foreigners to seek to impose their values/wishes. Governor Oshiomhole said this yesterday, in Abuja, while delivering a lecture on 'The Role of Public Complaints Commission in a Democratic Society', organized by the Public Complaints Commission, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
