The Nigerian Senate President has recently given his support for a National Conference, where the ethnic nationalities need to talk about their continued co-existence. It would be recalled that many Nigerians, including Civil Rights Groups, have clamoured for this. The late Legal Luminary, Chief Alao Aka-Bashorun was one proponent of this method of ironing out the ROUGH EDGES in our polity. He claimed that if Benin Republic, next door could do it, then Nigeria can do it better. Mark has received dogged oppositions since making his statement.
