Two Chinese men, Chen Gang, 47, and Zhao Weidong, 31, were brought before an Ebute Metta Magistrates Court for conspiring to rape a 20 year old Nigerian woman. They are all said to work in the Catering Department of a Civil Engineering Construction Company at Railway Compound, Ebute Metta. Gang had made sexual advances at the woman, but failed to get good results. He then pushed her into a kitchen Store Room, and attempted to force himself on her. When the woman shouted for help, Weidong came in and assisted Gang, instead of helping to quell the situation. Weidong also seized her phone, and flushed down the nearby toilet. They were granted bail to the tune of N100,000.
