There was an attack last week in Borno State by the dreaded Boko-Haram, where insurgents dressed as soldiers mounted Check-Points. Scores of homes were burnt out, while corpses littered the streets. The attack was a retaliatory response to the fact that residents had formed Vigilante Groups to assist the Nigerian Army against Boko-Haram. Report says that an Army General, Mohammed Yusuf, who briefed the Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kassim Shettima, on the attack claimed that the Troops RAN OUT OF AMMUNITION while combating the assault, and that the insurgents were armed with 'anti-aircraft guns'.
