The EFCC has arrested two sons of the Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido on Thursday night in Kano. Mustapha Sule Lamido and Aminu Sule Lamido were arrested over an alleged N10 billion fraud. This amount represents a total sum that was fraudulently siphoned from the Jigawa State Treasury into their personal accounts, since 2007. The EFCC is said to have traced the money to 10 Companies where the Governor and his sons are Directors. It would also be recalled that Aminu Sule Lamido was arrested sometime in December 2012 at Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano for attempting to launder the sum of $50,000.
