This 59 year old grave digger was sacked by his employers when this photo of him appeared in the local newspapers. He claimed he was not 'saluting and smiling', and that he was attempting to shield the sun from his eyes. While some families have castigated him for being insensitive, others said it shows he is enjoying his job (dignity of labour). He had held the job for 40 years!!!
