Fierce fighting is going on in some Benue Local Government Areas, resulting from attack from nomadic Fulani Cattlemen. At least 40 people are feared killed, while over 7 villages have been over-run. The attackers who emerged from Nassarawa, and Kogi States are said to be fighting Benue Farmers over use of their lands for grazing of cattle. Thousands of women and children are said to have fled their villages!!!
