Following immense pressure from the public, and threats from the Civil Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana, to sue Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, the Governor and some members of the family were forced to call a Press Conference. The Governor appealed to the Public to lay off the issue for obvious reasons, stating that his wife, Clara, has some medical (mental) challenges/issues, and that contrary to speculations he was not intentionally 'imprisoning' her. He claims that it is only expedient to KEEP IT IN THE FAMILY, and that he was not prepared to now expose her to ridicule by trying to satisfy the public. Her psychiatrist was also present at the news conference.
