The Chairman of G.U.O Motors Limited, Chief G.U. Okeke, yesterday told an Onitsha High Court that he paid N30 million to kidnappers for his release. Okeke claimed while in captivity he bled profusely, from gun-shots, machete cuts, beatings and human bites inflicted by the kidnappers. He said kidnappings would reduce in the East if victims can sum up courage like he has done, and report incidents to the Police for prosecution. It was discovered that one of the accused had served in his Village Home for about one year before the kidnap incident.
