A former Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Tsav has petitioned the National Human Rights Commission NHRC, alleging extra-judicial killings and gross human rights abuse in Gboko, Benue State. In his 11-page petition, Tsav accused the POLICE and some highly placed politicians of connivance with criminals, and the murdering of innocent citizens. He expressed concerns about a planned mass-burial of dead bodies at the Gboko General Hospital Mortuary, without having to show causes of deaths.
- Yes..highly commendable Sir. Nice to know dat dis citizen is exercising his rights under our 'Law'....by trying to uphold the Rule of Law. Dat is a very SCARCE/ELUSIVE phrase in Nigeria.
- Tsav has always been an objective, dogged fighter in dat area. And YES it is true dat there is too much FULANI CATTLE REARERS invasions in Benue State which awa 4ukin government should look into...asap.
- But my grouse with HIM is dat he was himself a Police Officer. Police are the greatest abusers of rights in Nigeria. What you left behind is what you now see...Mr Tsav. You had a chance to change it when you were there. Why didnt you??? Abi are you telling me dis is a new tin in Nigeria???
- Dis is what we say about awa leaders. You all think it is UHURU, and dat life couldnt be sweeter. You forget dat one-day, na wan-day...una go COME HOME TO ROOST.
- Welcome to my world, Mr. Tsav. We await Jonathan and his GANG too.
