A few days ago President Jonathan appointed the one-time Governor of Bauchi State, Adamu Mu'azu, as PENCOM (Nigerian Pensions Commission) Chairman. This came as a surprise to many, because it is obvious that Mu'azu is yet to clear the CORRUPTION charges of defrauding his State of N19.8 billion hanging over his head. The EFCC is still looking for him. It would be recalled that Mu'azu had escaped to Europe to reside briefly, in the heat of this allegations a few years back.
