It appears that Governor Dambaba Suntai of Taraba State may, after all, not function again mentally and otherwise, as a governor. It would be recalled that in October, 2012, he mysteriously survived a plane crash near Yola Airport, while flying himself and his aides in his private jet. He was soon flown to Germany for medical treatment, and later to the USA. The State Government has spent close to N4million on his medical bills, in the USA alone. His injuries seem to border seriously on brain swelling, and loss of mental capacity.
His purported return to his former position as governor is plagued by political intrigues from all quarters, not least his supporters who claim he has fully recovered. However, nobody has heard a word from Suntai himself.
- Hmmm, what a pity!!! Wonders will never end.
- Dis na wettin yorubas dey call, 'ayo 'n pa eniyan'. (too much good life dey fit kill person).
- His was a great lesson for our corrupt Nigerian governors, who end up using public funds to buy and fly on private jets, yet fail to repair bad roads dat the poor people use daily.
- My question is...wettin make d man tink say him be pilot sef? Is it child's-play to be a pilot? Abi jet/plane don become rich man toy for naija?
- I guess 'power' has a way of 'inflating' human beings...especially we, Naija people.
- Wishing you quick recovery....dat is, if you are lucky.
