Culled from Vanguard.
The North has no claims to power in Nigeria, until 2027. So says Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia, a two-time former Governor of defunct Bendel State. He says that the South-South must complete its 8years, followed by the South-East (another 8years), before the North can dream of coming back to power. Pa. Ogbemudia, however, acknowledged the fact that the South-West has had its own share of the cake, under the tenure of General Olusegun Obasanjo.
Needless to say this has not gone down well with some die-hard advocates of return of power to the North, like Professor Ango Abdulahi, head of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), and the Governor of Niger State, Babangidda Aliyu.
