Nelson Mandela's health has been described as serious, but stable having spent his third day in a Pretoria Hospital. Archbishop Desmond Tutu has described the 94year old geriatric as an 'extra ordinary gift' to South Africa.
Mandela was the first black president produced by South Africa, after years of struggle against the sinister Apartheid Regime. He had spent 27years in jail on Robben Island, where he contacted respiratory disease caused by tuberculosis. He was released amid celebrations in 1990.
- While wishing the old man fast recovery, we must all prepare ourselves for the inevitable..sooner or later.
- This is a man that goes down in history as one whose fame and respect cuts across all race and creed.
- He is, so far, a living example of man's evil/wickedness to man. How a minority group of moda4kas can enslave a majority group purely on basis of skin colour...I cannot fathom.
- Desmond Tutu is wrong in saying that Mandela is 'an extra ordinary gift' to South Africa. I put it to him that Mandela is a 'mega gift' to the world (both whites and blacks)...call it 'extra-ordinary' if you choose to be modest.
- As a black man Mandela makes me mighty 4kin proud.
